All-time high: $1.65, reached on October 1, 2026. The current price is 34.87% below it.

Backpack (BP) has rallied sharply since mid-September, then pulled back. In mid-September it was trading below $0.50. The catalyst was regulatory. On September 17, the US Securities and Exchange Commission issued what it calls the "Innovation Exemption," which permits limited on-chain trading of tokenized stocks. The relief runs for five years, through September 2031. It is capped, with trading volume on a TSV capped at 0.25% of the average daily volume for major names. Backpack had positioned itself ahead of this. On July 10, 2026, it launched round-the-clock trading of tokenized US equities backed by real shares. Its tokenized equity business is run through Backpack Securities, and in some periods, Backpack has controlled around 73% of issuer-level DEX volume in tokenized equities.

The supply structure is the other major factor. At launch, 25% of the token's 1 billion total supply, around 250 million BP, was distributed, primarily through an airdrop to existing users. About 37.5% of tokens are set to unlock over time based on operational milestones, such as market expansion or product launches, while another 37.5% will remain locked in a corporate treasury until after a potential IPO. Long-term stakers may also be able to convert BP into company equity, with up to 20% of the company in aggregate.

The 7-day decline of -7.07% and flat 30-day reading show the token consolidating after its spike. No single catalyst for the 24-hour gain of +4.30% has been confirmed.

Backpack price prediction 2026

Expected range for the rest of 2026 (October 19 to December 31):

  • Low: $0.75
  • Average: $1.00
  • High: $1.45

Support levels:

  • $1.20: a break below this level is the first trigger for a deeper pullback, per a break below risks a pullback toward $1.20.
  • $0.95 and $0.76: traders should watch for a hold above key support near $0.95–$0.76 to maintain the bullish structure.

Resistance levels:

  • $1.43: the September 25 high, which is the key resistance on the near-term chart.
  • $1.65: the October 1 all-time high. A move above it would establish a new high rather than a retest.

Assumptions:

  • Cycle position: the token is roughly 35% below its peak after a threefold move in about two weeks, so a partial retracement is the base case. The average of $1.00 assumes price settles between the $0.95 and $1.20 supports.
  • Flows: the 250 million circulating tokens remain the main float. Unlocks tied to milestones are the main source of new supply.
  • Adoption: continued tokenized-equity volume would support the upper end of the range. A decline in volume would point toward the low end.
  • Macro: broader crypto risk appetite would shape whether the high of $1.45 is reachable this year.

Backpack price prediction 2027

  • Low: $0.60. This assumes tokenized-equity volume shrinks after the initial regulatory spike and unlock supply weighs on the price. This would take BP back toward its May 2026 low of $0.1179 only in an extreme case, so $0.60 is the stress level rather than the floor.
  • Average: $1.20. This assumes the token holds the $1.20 level as a base, with 2027 gains from business expansion offset by gradual supply release. At 250 million circulating tokens, $1.20 implies a market cap of about $300 million.
  • High: $2.00. This requires sustained growth in tokenized-equity trading and Backpack's regulatory expansion. At $2.00, circulating-supply market cap would be about $500 million, and about $2.0 billion on the full 1 billion supply.

Backpack price prediction 2028-2029

  • Low: $0.70. The floor assumes the 2027 low is not broken and the company continues to unlock supply on schedule.
  • Average: $1.60. This assumes continued growth and some unlocked supply absorbed by demand. It implies a fully diluted market cap of about $1.6 billion.
  • High: $3.00. This assumes Backpack reaches regulatory milestones in additional jurisdictions and the equity-conversion feature draws long-term stakers. This implies a fully diluted market cap of about $3.0 billion.

Backpack price prediction 2030

  • Low: $0.80. This is the bear-case ceiling and implies a fully diluted market cap of about $800 million.
  • Average: $2.00. This is the base case, implying a fully diluted market cap of about $2.0 billion.
  • High: $4.00. At this level, the market cap on the full 1 billion supply would be about $4.0 billion. This assumes all locked supply is released by 2030 and absorbed at this price. On circulating supply alone, the same price implies a market cap of about $1.0 billion.

Benchmark comparison: The high of $4.0 billion is about 1.7 times the current market cap of OKB, which is $2.38 billion. It is roughly four times KCS, which stands at $1.04 billion. The high therefore assumes Backpack would need to rank among the larger exchange tokens.

What analysts and institutions forecast

The forecasts below are dated where the source provides a date. Most are from automated or smaller platforms, and none is from a major bank or research desk.

Where forecasts disagree: The Coinbase tool's $1.14 for 2030 is well below the high case in this article, because it assumes steady 5% growth rather than the regime shift seen in September. The Bitget bull case of $1.50 to $2.50 for 2026 already sits above the current price, and the token has since traded above $1.50 at its peak. The March 2026 prediction-market odds reference an FDV threshold of $200 million, which is far below the current fully diluted valuation of about $1.07 billion. These forecasts were made at different price levels and before or after the tokenized-equity catalyst, which explains most of the gap.

Bull, base and bear scenarios

Bull case

  • Drivers: tokenized-equity volume stays concentrated on Backpack, regulatory licences expand, and equity conversion draws long-term stakers.
  • 2027 price: $2.00.
  • 2030 price: $4.00, implying a fully diluted market cap of about $4.0 billion.
  • Comparison: about 1.7 times OKB's current $2.38 billion market cap.

Base case

  • Drivers: steady growth in tokenized-equity trading, with unlocks absorbed gradually.
  • 2027 price: $1.20.
  • 2030 price: $2.00, implying a fully diluted market cap of about $2.0 billion.
  • Comparison: about twice KCS's current $1.04 billion market cap.

Bear case

  • Drivers: the SEC exemption's volume caps limit growth, unlock supply outpaces demand, and competitors take share in tokenized equities.
  • 2027 price: $0.60.
  • 2030 price: $0.80, implying a fully diluted market cap of about $800 million.
  • Comparison: about 75% of GT's current $1.07 billion market cap.

The bull-case ceiling is realistic only if Backpack's exchange-token valuation approaches the largest exchange tokens. The base case sits near the current market cap tier of KCS and GT, which makes it the more defensible outcome.

Catalysts and risks

Catalysts that could push BP above the ranges:

  • Expansion of tokenized-stock trading beyond the initial listings in SpaceX, Micron and SanDisk.
  • Regulatory approvals in new jurisdictions, which the token's unlock schedule is tied to.
  • Progress toward a potential IPO, which could increase demand for equity-conversion rights.

Risks that could push BP below the ranges:

  • The SEC exemption's volume caps limit growth in the tokenized-equity business.
  • Unlock supply, which is 75% of total supply, enters circulation faster than demand.
  • Competitors in tokenized equities reduce Backpack's share of on-chain volume.
  • Regulatory reversal or tighter rules on tokenized stocks.

Bottom line

Backpack (BP) is expected to trade within a rest-of-2026 range of $0.75 to $1.45, with an average near $1.00 based on support at $0.95 and $1.20 and resistance at $1.43. The 2030 range of $0.80 to $4.00 is wide because it depends on unlock timing and whether Backpack's tokenized-equity business scales. Reaching the high would require the full 1 billion supply to circulate at about $4.00, a valuation above OKB's current market cap. The low would require the regulatory tailwind to fade and unlock supply to outpace demand.
