Promotions and bonus info for 500 Casino
500 Casino uses geotechnology to determine your location. This means you’ll either see an out of bounds message prohibiting access or you’ll see the full site. If you see the latter, you should find a relevant welcome bonus on one of the sliding panels at the top of the site.
Bonuses can vary depending on where you are. So, here’s how you can find out what your bonus might look like - review the information on the banners on this page. They’ll display 500 Casino’s offers for players in your region. You can also read our full 500 Casino bonus guide for the latest facts.
500 Casino access and usability
How can you access and use this operator’s website? We cover this in all our reviews, including the Whale.io review, as it may influence how we use a site or choose which option to investigate further. Here’s what we know about 500 Casino.
🚫 No Mobile App
We found no suggestion of an Android or iOS app for this operator. Some competitors offer separate sportsbook and casino apps, while others have combined ones, but we found nothing of either type for 500 Casino. We did not view this as a downside, however.
📱 Site Format on Different Devices
We’ve tested this aspect to determine how the casino looks on different devices. The standard site presents the menu to the left of the screen, with expanding sections where appropriate. You’ll see these covering casino and classic games, along with the sportsbook. They’ve put traditional sports and esports in the same section under different headings.
Switch to a smaller screen size, smartphone, or tablet, and you’ll see the main menu options at the bottom of the screen. You’ll find a burger menu too, which slides out to reveal the main menu options you’d see on a larger screen. You’ll get other menu options with logos representing them - a ball for the sportsbook and some cards for the casino.
📝 Usability Review
We found extensive info throughout the site, making it overwhelming to begin with. You can look around without an account if you wish. This gives you a chance to compare it to our Moonroll review to see how they fare when viewed side-by-side.
Some new aspects are irrelevant for casino players, such as the Cases feature that appears to be connected to the virtual sports section. You can merely ignore that if you wish, though, focusing only on those menu sections of interest to you. The casino section turned out to be well organized, meeting industry standards in that respect.
A closer look at 500 Casino
Upon arrival on the 500 Casino homepage, we noted a panel that confirmed the presence of 4,147 games, covering slots and live casino areas. We dug a little deeper to see what else we could find out about the casino, its games, and who provides them.
Available game categories
Despite having a casino area near the top of the menu (marked as HOT), you won’t find all the available games in there. You should also check the Classics category - that’s new, but features some instant play casino-style titles. We found 12 options in there, with four marked as new. Here are some examples:
- Keno
- Plinko
- Dice
- Mines
Back in the main casino area, we found many options to choose from in that menu. It features an unusual split though, with all games and new releases categories at the top, followed by options including Drops & Wins and jackpot games.
We did find some proper categories beyond that, covering slots, live games, roulette, blackjack, and baccarat. We did not find categories for instant games or scratchcards. However, when we went into the All Games category, we did find a scratchcard option upon looking at the All Game Types dropdown. We also noted poker and Sic Bo categories that aren’t in the main menu, but you can find various titles of them when you use the 500 Casino search bar.
As expected, slots provide the largest section to browse. This provides a well-rounded mix of themes for video slots, including ancient Greek slots, book-based slots, and many more. Note that you cannot search according to reel quantity, bet amount, or any other metrics, however. With potentially thousands of slots to view, this slows things down somewhat.
Live casino action
Select live games and you will find multiple card-based games along with titles such as Snakes and Ladders Live, Monopoly Big Baller, and Crazy Time. You may notice that some titles are grayed out - that confirms you cannot play those in your region.
Many live titles come from Pragmatic Play Live and Evolution Gaming. We found multiple tables for blackjack. But you’ve got far fewer options for other card games.
Game developers
You can view games from over 50 developers courtesy of the dropdown list in the main casino area at 500 Casino. For some reason, some of those are listed at the top along with their logos, such as Push Gaming and Hacksaw Gaming. You will then see a full list from A to Z, including 500 Originals and many external providers including Endorphina and Red Tiger Gaming.
You may select a provider to view their titles alone. Alternatively, you can look for a certain game type and you will see the provider’s name underneath the title in each case.
Reviewing the 500 Casino sportsbook
Despite the 500 Casino name, they do have a separate area of the menu catering for sports events and matches. We’ve spent some time there to bring you the basics and beyond. Let’s see how they compare to other online sportsbooks.
Available sports
We noted just 11 sports in the menu at 500 Casino. Those included popular options such as tennis, baseball, basketball, and football. However, once we selected a sport to see more options, we were presented with another menu across the width of the site. This tallies with our experience using the casino menu.
Note the small down arrow at the end of the mix of logos. This reveals a dropdown menu that displays several dozen sports, including less common ones such as bobsleigh, biathlon, and even arm wrestling. This means you need to select a sport, open the main menu, and search for something else if you’re not keen on the 11 key sports displayed in the menu. This seems unnecessarily complicated.
You will see a number next to each, although it doesn’t appear to relate to live events. We also found more available matches than the number given, so it’s unclear what it refers to. You can view flags and league or event names in each sport to see relevant information as well.
Esports
We only found three esports included at the top of the sportsbook menu - League of Legends, DOTA 2, and CS2. However, you will find more in the horizontal menu when you choose an option. We found this made things more complicated, as it’s unclear what else is available unless you position your cursor over the logos. Valorant appeared this way, for example.
Changing the odds format
We found the control for this at the bottom of the site. You can choose from five odds formats, including fractional, American, and Hong Kong odds. You’ll be able to make those changes even without an account, allowing for further site testing at an early stage.
Odds appear to be consistent with similar crypto sportsbooks, but we advise checking and comparing with other sites depending on the sport or betting type you are considering.
Our 500 Casino review of their VIP program
You won’t always find a VIP or loyalty program at a crypto casino. That’s been noted in our Duel.com review. 500 Casino has elected to include one, but while you will have access to it from the start, you must pick up enough XP points to reach the first Silver level. Before that point, you will be unranked. You must get to level 500 to reach Silver.
VIP levels
We noted 11 further levels beyond Silver, going up to the highest Supernova level. You’re required to reach level 1,600 to get there. Each stage sits between certain levels, but it’s unclear how many XPs you would require to reach each level. You can expect to receive various things once reaching a new level, but they only give vague details on these.
Here’s what you can do - the VIP page lets you click between the levels to see the type of options you might receive once you reach them. This provides a general sense of what you might expect.
The VIP calculator
This appears further down the site menu. We’d prefer to see it as part of the VIP page to keep everything in one place. It does explain more about collecting XP points, but we found it unnecessarily complicated for new 500 Casino bettors. It looks like we’re required to collect 10,000 XPs to reach level 500, which is the first Silver level, but it’s hard to tell for certain.
Deposit and withdrawal facilities at the 500 Casino and sportsbook
You’ll find two types of crypto sites available - those that permit using fiat payment methods as well and those that do not. 500 Casino falls into the former category.
Sourcing payment information
We did not find a payment page while reviewing this aspect of 500 Casino. They’ve opted to include payment information in an expanding Q&A section near the bottom of the homepage. That’s easy to miss if you don’t know where to look.
They list all main cryptocurrencies, while offering card methods for those who prefer something different. We also found Apple Pay and Google Pay for those who prefer to visit on smartphones or tablets.
More assistance via the help center
The help center notes a rough idea of the minimum deposit amount, which is higher for fiat methods compared to crypto. They can also differ according to value and currency fluctuations.
Note that you cannot withdraw in anything other than crypto. Available options include Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum. You cannot withdraw at all unless you’re at Level 1 (which could refer to the VIP Club, but it is unclear). You must also have made at least one prior deposit.
Licensing details for 500 Casino
You may see licensing information for different licensing bodies depending on which country you are in when visiting 500 Casino. We did note the location of such information though. You can check this when visiting 500 Casino by scrolling to the bottom of their website. You should then see the following:
- Ownership information - Perfect Storm B.V.
- Registered address - Willemstad, Curacao
- Relevant licensing information along with the license number
Note the availability of a logo for the relevant licensing body as well - you should be able to click or tap on that to check if the license remains valid. You can also independently check this, of course.
Customer support availability at 500 Casino
You can find a consistent mix of information across most areas of this operator’s site. Some info is more complex and detailed than others, as we noted with the VIP Club information. As such, you may require additional support, so we have tested the available options for you here.
Live chat
Look for their headset logo in the bottom right corner of the site. This opens the live chat window, providing access to search for help and click or tap on some of the more common questions.
You can also send them a message. This states they usually reply within a few minutes, but our testing found that it can depend on when you contact them. You can send a message without having an account.
Help center
Look for the support section in the lower site menu at 500 Casino. The help center is the second option in that column. This lists articles under seven sections, including these:
- Account
- Casino and classics
- Sportsbook
- FAQ
We noticed an imbalance here, with just six articles on the sportsbook and 26 about the casino. Some articles are quite short, too, which can limit the amount of detail and help you can get from them. So, we’d suggest checking the help center before opting for live chat, but don’t be surprised if you end up using that at some stage.
Other areas to note
We found an extensive menu at the bottom of their website. Notably, while they provide a dry Policies title for one section, it contains many documents of worth, including the T&Cs, their privacy policy, and their AML and Know Your Customer policies.
They also provide a Responsible Gaming section there. It provides help on spotting problems and lists some helpful organizations you may contact, although they may not be relevant for your location. It’s not as extensive as we’d hoped, but it does provide a reasonable starting point.
Verdict: 500 Casino is a well-rounded crypto betting platform
Don’t take our word for it though - you can visit 500 Casino via any of the links we have provided you with throughout this review. You can see the features for yourself and look through the casino and sportsbook areas in your own time.
We always check licensing and geotechnology on such sites, and noted that both were present at 500 Casino. While the name clearly points to a casino offering, you will find a selection of sports to view as well, with live coverage joining future matches. We found some aspects rather too in-depth, such as the VIP Club, its levels and XP points, although they provide information about all site aspects. Make sure you review all areas before you consider whether 500 Casino is right for you.
