The founder of Cardano and the co-founder of ETH, Charles Hoskinson has just recently suggested that applying stylometric techniques is what will help find Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of bitcoin.

In an interview that took place at the end of last week, Hoskinson suggested that the most effective way to find the man/person/people behind the pseudonym would be to apply these kinds of techniques.

For those that don’t know, this kind of technique is the application of the study of linguistic style which is typically used for written language. Such a technique was previously applied to Nakamoto's writing however, there were no real results from this previous test.

So instead of using his writing, Hoskinson has suggested using his code. In explaining why it could be a significantly more effective technique, Hoskinson said the following:

“Yes dramatically more efficient. Code stylometry is much more accurate. Here's a paper on the topic https://usenix.org/node/190845. It's commonly done to track malware authors and usually is very effective”.

On top of this, Hoskinson gave predictions on what kind of person Nakamoto is today. He said that their probably in their 50s or 60s and that they were educated in the early 90s or 1980s in a specific school of computer science.
