Cryptocurrency exchange based in Japan, Huobi, is considering the addition of six new tokens. The tokens being considered include Enjin (ENJ), IOS Token (IOST), Neo (NEO), Ontology (ONT), Qtum (QTUM), and Tezos (XTZ).

Account holders on Huobi exchange currently trade seven cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), and MonaCoin (MONA). Six days ago, Huobi’s native Token (HT) was released as the first global exchange token.

Due to the plan, the exchange is giving its users the opportunity to vote on any of the six tokens they desire to be listed. Huobi asked the account holders to vote prior to August 16 on which new cryptocurrencies they would like to see listed.

The exchange’s users have started voting on July 16 and each account can only vote once every Friday and they are entitled to a maximum of five votes. Midnight on August 16 is the deadline for voting.

However, according to the exchange, they will consider the token with the greatest number of votes, but that does not guarantee it. Out of the six cryptocurrencies being considered by the exchange, three are based in China.

Despite the IOST platform being a rival to the Ethereum blockchain, its token has to do with the Internet of Services (IoS) as it is useful for payments on the IOST platform and fees for smart contracts.

NEO is a public blockchain project capable of incorporating digital IDs and smart contracts, while ONT offers blockchain solutions for businesses. Tezos is a Proof-of-Stake (PoS)-based blockchain, while ENJ is behind Enjin (a blockchain gaming platform). ENJ allows the development of ENJ-backed digital assets which can be distributed to users as in-game items.

However, as regards QTUM, it is whitelisted by Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) at the moment, while users can trade it on Coincheck.
