Football legend Lionel Messi has signed a $20 million deal with Socios.com to become the fan token site’s global brand ambassador. 

Messi To Promote Socios In New Deal

Under the million-dollar deal, Messi will be promoting the Socios.com exchange for the next three years. However, sources aware of the situation have revealed that the transaction would not involve cryptocurrency in any way. 

Talking about the deal, the Argentinian football team captain stated, 

“Fans deserve to be recognized for their support. They deserve opportunities to influence the teams they love. Socios.com exists to enhance the fan experience, to enable fans to ‘be more’. I’m proud to join Socios.com’s mission to create a more connected and rewarding future for fans around the world.”

Socios Continues Football Expansion

Socios.com is a fan token site that seeks to enhance the fan experience by introducing elements of blockchain technology into different sports. These fan tokens act like cryptocurrencies that empower the fans to contribute their input on small decisions within their team’s communities. The fan tokens available on Socios.com are available for different teams from all kinds of sports like soccer, football, hockey, basketball, and more. In football especially, the fan token site has had collaborations with Messi’s team Paris-Saint Germain, Barcelona, Juventus, and Manchester City.
