Key highlights:

  • Cudos has announced a partnership with Persistence
  • The collaboration will be focused around Persistence's ASSET.one product, which provides infrastructure for DPoS blockchains
  • Cudos is a cloud computing platform that can function as a layer 2 for blockchains, but can also perform general cloud computing tasks

Cudos partners with Persistence's ASSET.one to bolster its infrastructure

Blockchain-powered cloud computing platform Cudos has announced a partnership with Persistence, a multi-asset protocol that’s behind multiple products like AUDIT.one, AssetMantle and pSTAKE. The partnership will be especially focused around the AUDIT.one product, which provides infrastructure for DPoS (Delegated Proof-of-Stake) blockchains.

AUDIT.one’s services fit right in with Cudos Network, which uses DPoS and Tendermint Core for its consensus needs. AUDIT.one also supports several other Tendermint-based projects, for example Cosmos, Terra and Kava. AUDIT.one’s infrastructure is spread out geographically to provide consistent uptime and a high degree of decentralization, and also utilizes sentry nodes to help thwart denial-of-service attacks.

Cudos is a layer 2 solution that supports multiple blockchains, and helps expand their utility by giving them access to Turing-complete compute, as well as external data. This can be useful for blockchains that are struggling with high transaction fees due to high demand or have Non-Turing-complete smart contract capabilities.

The platform also features a native token called CUDOS, which is used to facilitate governance and the platform’s DpoS consensus mechanism – every validator needs to stake a certain amount of CUDOS before they can start earning staking rewards. Like with other DPoS platforms users can delegate tokens to stakers, and earn a part of the rewards they collect.

Cudos is designed to bridge with popular blockchain platforms like Ethereum, Algorand, Polkadot and Cosmos. The Cudos cloud computing platform can also be used for other popular cloud computing use cases such as data analytics and video rendering.

Nuno Pereira, the vice president of partnerships at Cudos, commented on how the project will benefit from the AUDIT.one support:

“AUDIT.one is a true believer in decentralization and offers one of the best infrastructures with high redundant data centers across multiple geo-locations, state-of-the-art security with multiple sentry nodes to mitigate the risk of denial-of-service attacks, combined with a team of security experts that help achieve 24/7 operations. AUDIT.one makes the Cudos network safer, stronger and healthier, and we are excited to have their support.”
