About RadioShack

What is a Coin?

A coin is a small, flat, round piece of metal or plastic used primarily as a medium of exchange or legal tender. They are standardized in weight, and produced in large quantities at a mint in order to facilitate trade. Coins are most often issued by a government. The first coins were developed independently in Iron Age Anatolia and Archaic Greece, and then spread to Rome and Persia. Coins have been used since the 6th century BC, although they had no monetary value until the 4th century BC.

RadioShack Corporation was an American chain of electronics stores founded in 1921. It operated more than 7,300 stores across the United States from its heyday in the 1980s until it filed for bankruptcy protection in 2015. RadioShack's retail presence declined drastically over the years due to competition from online retailers such as Amazon and eBay, as well as big-box retailers such as Walmart and Target. In 2017, General Wireless Operations Inc., an affiliate of Standard General LP acquired 1,743 RadioShack locations from Sprint Corp., which had purchased them out of bankruptcy.

Today, RadioShack operates more than 500 company-owned stores across the United States under its own brand name. These stores offer products ranging from consumer electronics such as smartphones and tablets to home appliances such as vacuums and air conditioners. Customers can also find accessories like batteries and cables for their electronics needs.

RadioShack also offers repair services for electronic devices including computers, gaming consoles, TVs, phones and other gadgets. The company provides customers with technical support through its website or via phone call centers located around the country.
