The newly launched Hong Kong ETFs recorded $8.5 million on its first day. As of May 3, the total trading volume of six Hong Kong spot ETFs for virtual assets was US$6.26 million. The combined Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF trading volume for the first day amounted to HK$87.58 million dollars ($12 million), as per the data on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. On the other hand, the trading volume of 11 U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs on May 2 was $1.72 billion. While the Hong Kong ETFs stay below BTC ETFs, industry experts are optimistic over their future prospects.
