Is Hastra PRIME a good investment? The evidence supports a mixed answer. The yield source is documented and audited, but ownership concentration, dependence on Figure, and thin token-level disclosure remain unresolved.

Market position

PRIME ranks #136 by market cap at $554.39M, with 24h volume of $5.51M. Circulating and total supply are both 519,648,838 tokens. The price is $1.07, and the current price is 28.88% below the all-time high of $1.50 in the market snapshot.

In the RWA.xyz credit ranking, Hastra sits at $663.6M across three RWAs, behind STOKR ($1.5B) and Maple Finance ($961.6M) and ahead of Centrifuge ($624.0M). In tokenized Treasuries, Ondo leads at $3.1B. PRIME differs by offering exposure to home equity credit rather than Treasuries. Steakhouse Prime and Gauntlet Prime USDC vaults paid 4.45% and 4.51% in October 2026, against an average of 3.66% for tokenized Treasuries. PRIME's advertised yield of roughly 5.85% to 7% carries a premium that reflects its credit exposure.

How the yield is built

PRIME is a liquid staking token. Users swap USDC for wYLDS and stake wYLDS to receive PRIME, which accrues yield from Figure's Democratized Prime HELOC lending pools. The structure has three layers: YLDS, an SEC-registered face-amount certificate issued by Figure Certificate Company; wYLDS, Hastra's wrapper; and PRIME, the staked position.

TID Research estimates PRIME's yield at about 7%, with the Treasury layer paying roughly 3%. The remaining 3 to 4 percentage points compensate for HELOC credit risk.

Adoption and revenue

DefiLlama shows on-chain AUM of $573.18M, split across Ethereum ($440.64M), Solana ($122.62M) and Tempo ($9.92M). Hastra announced $350M in PRIME deposits on Morpho on 7 August 2026, a company-posted figure. Holder counts differ by source: 1,981 on RWA.xyz, 1.91K on CoinMarketCap and 234 on Ethereum per Etherscan (August 2026). No active-user or transaction-volume data was found.

Hastra's revenue is a 50 bps platform fee on the pool rate, which DefiLlama reports at $2.82M over 30 days. Figure earns its underlying revenue from HELOC lending spreads. Tempo's documentation states that yields "vary with borrower demand and pool utilization," so sustainability depends on continued borrower demand.

Team and Figure relationship

Hastra is built and distributed inside Figure Technologies' ecosystem and incubated with the Provenance Blockchain Foundation. Figure's 10-Q identifies the operating entity as Signum Ltd. (dba Hastra), a related party licensed to use Figure software for a 0.50% royalty on per-transaction revenue. No standalone Hastra founders or executives were identified. Token Vitals rates team and governance at 2.5/10 and describes the issuer team as anonymous, a claim that conflicts with the Figure affiliation.

Concentration is also significant. Figure's 10-Q shows $306.3M of Democratized Prime YLDS certificates held by related parties and $41.4M held by third parties. TID Research reports that 85.9% of the $556.0M in certificates sits with a concentrated group. BEXC reports that the top 10 addresses hold 99.0% of holdings.

Audits and security

Three reviews have been published. Informal Systems audited the Solana programs in November 2025 and reported one critical finding, which TID Research says was remediated. Sherlock's April 2026 review of the Ethereum vault found no critical or high findings. OtterSec's August 2026 review reported 16 findings, the most significant being a reward-capture issue in the staking vault, with remediation not confirmed. Etherscan lists "No Contract Security Audit Submitted," which conflicts with Hastra's published audit list. No bug bounty has been disclosed.

Regulatory position

YLDS is issued by Figure Certificate Company, a full SEC reporting registrant. Hastra and PRIME are not SEC-registered, and the wrapper and staking layers sit above that certificate. Figure's disclosures state that YLDS is not FDIC insured and may lose value. No securities or lending license was located for the PRIME wrapper token itself.

Price history and market cycles

The observable history is short. BEXC lists the token's age as 173 days, and the available sources do not cover a full market cycle. TID Research measured an observed secondary-market drawdown of about 4.4%. The snapshot shows a 7-day change of +0.09% and a 30-day change of +0.00%, which indicates low realized volatility over recent weeks.

Community and developer activity

X discussion is yield-focused and driven by protocol and analytics accounts rather than a broad retail community. Analysts have flagged a $263M debt concentration with an 86% LLTV on Morpho, reliance on Figure as sole originator, roughly $19M in DEX liquidity, and yield components driven by incentives. The hastra-eth-vault repository has 0 stars and 2 forks, and its README states that mainnet is "NOT YET DEPLOYED" and "Not audited," which conflicts with the audit record.

Bull case

  • Yield rests on a Treasury base plus a HELOC credit layer, with self-reported cumulative losses under 1.25%.
  • The most recent Ethereum audit reports no critical or high findings.
  • Distribution spans Solana, Ethereum, Tempo, Morpho, Orca, Plume and Kamino, plus custody support from BitGo and Copper.
  • Figure reported $1,519M in consumer loan marketplace volume for Q2 2026 in preliminary data.

Bear case

  • Holdings are highly concentrated, with 85.9% of certificates in one group and 99.0% of Ethereum holdings in the top 10 addresses.
  • Related-party dependence is significant, and no independent Hastra leadership has been identified.
  • The wrapper and staking layers sit above a regulated certificate but are not themselves registered.
  • Figure's delinquency on loans held for sale rose over three consecutive periods (3.91%, 5.46%, 6.61%) before falling to 5.05% at 30 June 2026.
  • Supply, holder and APY figures differ across trackers.

Risk/reward assessment

The upside case rests on sustained HELOC demand, growing integrations and stable yield. The downside case rests on concentrated holdings, related-party dependence, regulatory layering and the possibility of credit deterioration. The public sources do not quantify default probability, redemption liquidity under stress, or how large holders would behave in a drawdown. Those gaps are the main reason the risk/reward profile cannot be resolved from public information alone.
