Pirate Chain monthly update | March 2026

We've made strong progress across events, development, and ecosystem growth. From conferences to ongoing Orchard testing and wallet development, momentum is clearly building as we move further into 2026.

Monthly update meeting

The audio version of this monthly update is available on X.

Monerotopia + Anarchapulco

Pirate Chain had a strong presence at both Monerotopia in Mexico City (12-15 February 2026) and Anarchapulco (16-20 February 2026) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

At Monerotopia, the team joined a panel alongside other privacy projects, discussing the future of privacy coins and the role of privacy in digital money. The event also provided a great opportunity to onboard new users, distribute ARRR, and build relationships with partners like Edge App.

At Anarchapulco, Pirate Chain reached a much larger audience with over 700 attendees. The main-stage talk, “Privacy Is Not a Feature, It’s the Foundation of Digital Money,” focused on a key message: privacy is not optional if digital currency is meant to function as real money. The talk resonated strongly, and many attendees followed up at the booth with questions and interest.

At the The Crypto Vigilante Summit on 22 February 2026 following Anarchapulco, Amy V gave a talk on Pirate Chain focusing on privacy.

Replays from the events are available online, and they are highly recommended viewing for anyone interested in privacy, sound money, and real-world crypto use.

One of the other valuable outcomes from the Mexico events was continued collaboration with Edge App, a multi-asset wallet focused on privacy, security, and ease of use. Pirate Chain and Edge have built a solid relationship over time, and that support continues to matter.

During these events, the Pirate Chain team worked closely with the Edge App team, produced new short-form content, and used their wallet to onboard new users quickly and easily. More Pirate Chain content featuring Edge is expected to appear on socials over time.

This kind of support matters because it makes onboarding simpler. It also helps reinforce that Pirate Chain is part of a wider privacy ecosystem, and strong relationships with tools like Edge App make it easier for more people to actually use ARRR, not just hold it.

Orchard Public Testnet

Pirate Chain Orchard is in public testnet and continues to perform well with strong participation from the community. Testing is ongoing, and users are encouraged to join, try different use cases, and help identify any remaining issues to fix before mainnet release.

A major new feature that will be introduced as part of Pirate Chain Orchard is the ability for the sender to give proof of a transaction with a single payment disclosure, which allows a sender to reveal a single transaction without exposing their entire wallet with a view key.

This is a significant usability improvement, especially for resolving disputes or proving payments, and adds a practical layer to Pirate Chain’s privacy model.

Read additional information on the Pirate Chain Github for the Pirate Chain Orchard testnet (currently on version Version 6.0.0-beta3) and the ability for senders to give a single payment disclosure.

Fundraising: AnonBazaar

The main fundraising focus right now is getting Pirate Chain listed on AnonBazaar, a peer-to-peer online marketplace that enables payments with privacy coins.

The platform already supports Monero and Firo, and adding Pirate Chain would give the community a direct way to buy and sell goods using ARRR. Be part of ARRR AnonBazaar fundraiser today! See details on the Pirate Chain crowdfunding page.

AnonBazaar is designed to be simple and practical: no platform fees, no custody of funds, and a shared marketplace across privacy coin communities. This makes it easier for sellers to reach more users and for buyers to transact without relying on centralized exchanges.

The Pirate Chain team will be matching community donations for AnonBazaar. Contributions can be made in ARRR, Monero, or Litecoin, and even small donations help signal demand and move the integration forward.

You can donate in ARRR, XMR, or LTC. View keys are posted for ARRR/XMR transparency.
