Turn of the Tide

“Turn of the Tide” is a collaborative visual exploration by 0bapek and Serap Görünme, to capture tidal movements in the psyche. With the knowledge of %60 of us is water, the moon creates tides not only in the water, but in all of us as well. This collection goes to the depths of the psyche to explore the high tide, the low tide and the intertidal zone created by them. It observes how we create dualities with our perception, life or death, happiness or sadness, black or white; and their unification, with the knowledge of one cannot exist without the other. “Turn of The Tide” believes that the depths of perception are more significant than what is happening on the surface, that certain experiences are transforming, and that they may lead to new ways of thinking, even if they appear difficult to deal with the current.
