ENTROPY by Deconstruct

The artworks in the Entropy series will focus on the inevitable progression toward disorder which may seem bleak, but it also brings about change and evolution. After all, without change and the breakdown of old orders, new ones can't emerge. This process of decay and renewal is often a central theme in my artworks. I create knowing that my works will eventually fade as they capture moments that are fleeting, they emphasize at the same time the critical role of impermanence. The process of creating my art feels like an effort to bring order from the chaos around me, a temporary resistance to the pull of entropy. In the grand scheme of things, entropy increases and things fall apart but in that falling apart process, there's room for creativity, innovation, and the formation of new patterns and structures. The universe around us might be heading toward disorder, but along the way, it creates endless opportunities for complexity and beauty.
