What is Coin?
Coin is a digital form of currency that can be used to purchase goods and services online. Angola has its own cryptocurrency called Agla, which was launched in 2020. Agla is an open-source blockchain platform designed to facilitate secure, fast and cost-effective transactions. It uses a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism to ensure the security of the network and provide users with a reliable source of income. The platform also allows users to create their own tokens and launch decentralized applications (dApps). Agla's main goal is to become the leading cryptocurrency in Africa by providing users with access to financial services such as payments, remittances, savings, investments, insurance and more.
Agla's native token AGLA is used for transactions on the platform as well as staking rewards. Staking rewards are earned when users lock up their AGLA tokens in order to validate blocks on the blockchain. This process helps secure the network while also providing users with passive income from staking rewards.
The platform also offers a wide range of features such as smart contracts, atomic swaps and decentralized exchanges (DEXs). These features allow developers to create dApps that can be used for various purposes including gaming, finance, healthcare and more. Agla has partnered with several organizations in Africa such as AfriLabs, Blockchain Nigeria User Group (BNUG) and Women In Blockchain Nigeria (WIBN) in order to promote adoption of its technology across the continent.
