A.I. is powerful, we all get that. But how do we make it matter. In this case I think it’s vitally important to tie the work to something real and handmade. I’ve been calling my paintings seeds because A.I. can create vast expanses of work, but only I can create my canvases. Nobody can splash and spin and drip the paint the same way. It’s like my finger print. Or like a seed. The AI prompt is like the water and sunlight necessary for a plant to grow.
