Binance has officially completed the token swap, redenomination, and rebranding of MANTRA’s OM token to the new MANTRA token. The latest move marks a significant step in the project’s evolution.
Following the announcement, the price of MANTA, a layer-1 blockchain ecosystem, jumped by roughly 64%. The asset’s 24-hour trading volume of more than $231.661 million demonstrates investors’ confidence in it.
Token Swap Completed at 1:4 Ratio
Binance announced that deposits and withdrawals for the new MANTRA tokens are now open. In addition, spot trading has also gone live for several pairs, including MANTRA/USDT, MANTRA/USDC, and MANTRA/TRY. This gives users more flexibility to trade the token against both stablecoins and fiat-backed pairs.
MANTRA/USDT Futures is also now live on the Bitget exchange. According to the platform, the pair is parked with up to 50x leverage and trading bots support.
Notably, for traders using Spot Copy Trading, Binance stated that MANTRA pairs can be added through the Personal Pair Preference section in the Spot Copy Trading settings. This allows copy traders to include MANTRA in their portfolios without disrupting their current strategies.
According to the platform, the token swap was completed at a fixed ratio of 1 OM to 4 MANTRA. In other words, for every 1 OM token a user holds, they receive 4 MANTRA tokens in return. Binance has directed users to check their distribution history directly on the platform to confirm the number of new tokens received.
MANTRA Team Shares Guide for Accessing DEX Liquidity
The crypto exchange also provided users with updated MANTRA token deposit addresses. Anyone who still holds old OM tokens on the BEP20 network can deposit them and convert them into new MANTRA tokens at the 1:4 ratio using the Convert function.
However, the platform emphasized that deposits and conversions of old OM tokens could be stopped at any time without prior notice. Additionally, the platform noted that withdrawals of old OM tokens are no longer supported. This means users holding the old version should act quickly if they wish to complete the conversion process.
Meanwhile, as centralized exchange (CEX) trading opened, the MANTRA team also outlined tips for users who want to access decentralized exchange (DEX) liquidity.
The first step involved withdrawing MANTRA tokens from the exchange to a mantra1 address. This is the address format many centralized exchanges use for deposits and withdrawals.
Secondly, after receiving the tokens, users need to connect two wallets. The mantra1 address should be linked using Keplr. At the same time, users should connect a wallet like MetaMask or Rabby that holds their 0x address on the MANTRA EVM network.
Once both wallets are connected on the official bridging page, users can move their MANTRA tokens from the mantra1 address to the 0x address. If the transaction is successful, a confirmation pop-up will appear.
After completing this step, users will be able to trade or provide liquidity on DEX platforms such as QuickSwap. This opens the door to additional trading options, including token swaps and participation in liquidity pools.
Strong Price Rally Signals Market Confidence
Impressively, the token has posted additional gains, totalling roughly 66.4% in the last few hours. This move suggests strong market confidence and interest in the project’s transition. Token swaps and rebrands can perhaps create uncertainty, but in this case, the smooth execution appears to have boosted investor sentiment.
Rebranding from OM to MANTRA reflects a broader vision for the ecosystem. By aligning the token name with the project brand, the team aims to build stronger recognition across exchanges and DeFi platforms.
Founded in May 2020, Mantra (formerly Mantra DAO) was created to build a comprehensive DeFi infrastructure. On April 7, 2025, the Mantra blockchain network launched a $108,888,888 ecosystem fund to accelerate the growth of startups focused on real-world assets (RWAs).
