This month, you’ll find key updates like Batch Transactions (HIP-551), enabling atomic multi-action execution. The community call also introduced Dynamic Node Accounts (HIP-1299) and Blockstreams (HIP-1056) for faster, verifiable network data.

This live stream, hosted by Jake, focused on building AI agents using ERC-8004 for trust/identity (via NFTs, reputation, and validation) and x402 for seamless micropayments in machine economies.
You’ll learn how to bring AI-driven workflows to the Hedera network using the Hedera Agent Kit. It connects to Hedera services like HCS, HTS, and account management. The blog walks you through the plugin-based architecture, shows how to build both human-in-the-loop and autonomous agents, and includes practical examples such as sending HCS messages, creating tokens, and managing accounts using AI agents.
Learn how to choose between Reown AppKit and Hedera Wallet Connect for wallet integration. Reown offers an EVM-friendly, multi-chain setup, while Hedera Wallet Connect unlocks native features like HTS minting, HCS messaging, and Ed25519 keys. Use Reown for EVM-style dApp, or combine both to support native and EVM workflows in a single integration.
Get hands-on with Hedera: when to use native SDKs vs the EVM, and how to combine them in a hybrid design. The workshop demos the Playground, Contract Builder, and faucet while you create accounts, post HCS messages, mint HTS tokens, and use scheduled transactions.
Hashport’s blog announces the beta launch of the HBAR Faucet on October 1, 2025, providing new Hedera users with $0.25 USD in HBAR to cover initial transaction fees, addressing the “cold start” problem and reducing onboarding friction.
Additionally, it introduces Hashpass, an account verification system that scores Hedera accounts based on factors such as age, transaction count, diversity, and asset value, to combat bot activity and enhance ecosystem security.
The latest Hedera Builders Live showcased why developers are choosing Hedera, including its strong community, enterprise governance, and lightning-fast, low-cost transactions. Furthermore, HeadStarter is evolving from a launchpad into a comprehensive DeFi hub, introducing yield and new tools. Also, Orbit introduced on-chain limit orders and a frictionless trading interface built on top of SaucerSwap and MemeJob.
HIP-1299 changes how node account IDs are managed in Hedera’s Dynamic Address Book. Nodes can now securely update or remove their account IDs with proper signatures, preventing reuse across nodes. Changes take effect immediately, rewards route safely if delivery fails, and low-balance nodes are auto-removed for stability.
HIP-1127 unifies how transactions are represented in Hedera’s block stream by standardizing on the SignedTransaction format. It removes legacy nesting that caused data bloat, improves parsing efficiency, and preserves existing transaction hashes, so no client changes are needed. The update simplifies serialization, ensures consistent hashing, and modernizes the block stream without affecting current APIs.
HIP-1261 proposes a clear, predictable fee model for Hedera: every transaction is “base fee + extras” (bytes, signatures, keys, gas, etc.), split into node, network, and service components. Fees are defined once in a deterministic JSON schedule (in USD tinycents) that tools and mirror nodes can reproduce exactly. The HIP standardizes how unreadable, invalid, unhandled, and bad transactions are charged, and supports congestion pricing.
