Athene Network, a robust decentralized platform utilizing blockchain and AI technologies, has announced its official migration from the Ethereum network to Binance Smart Chain. As a result of this migration, Athene has now adopted the BEP20 token standard for its native $ATN token. Athene, as the platform mentioned in the social media announcement, deems this development a crucial move to enhance its on-chain operations. However, despite this migration, the users will be allowed to utilize both the BEP20 and ERC20 formats up until 5th of August.

$ATN Shifts to $BEP20 Token Standard while Phasing out ERC20 Format

The migration of Athene Network from Ethereum’s ERC20 token standard to Binance Smart Chain’s BEP20 token standard underscores the transformation of $ATN. Hence, with this, the processing of the $ATN token will be carried out through BSC (BEP20). Nonetheless, the platform will continue to enable processing through the ERC20 token standard till August 5. Following that, the complete shift will take place. Thus, the users can settle their ERC20-related operations before this change.

Embracing Multi-Chain Future for Efficiency and Scalability

According to Athene Network, the $ATN token’s migration to BEP20 underscores a pivotal development in the platform’s ongoing evolution. Therefore, amid the growing availability of multi-chain blockchain projects, this initiative underscores Athene Network’s contribution to the broader scalability and efficiency. Moreover, even after August 5, the platform will keep accepting ERC20 deposits for internal conversion to BEP20 format before withdrawals.
