How can they offer direct, in app crypto purchases without KYC?

We are basically a Bitcoin ATM, just digital. You put money in and get bitcoin out, and vice-versa. Relai never holds your funds and is also regulated like a Bitcoin ATM, namely as a cash exchange business. Such a business can be pursued without having to register or verify customers as long as the governing Swiss AML laws are being followed.

For Relai this basically means ensuring that the sender of money and the receiver of bitcoin are the same person, and that no customer exchanges more than 1’000 CHF per day & 100’000 CHF per year.

The Swiss take their privacy laws seriously and it's one of the reason a lot of bitcoin focused startups are based there. So long as the purchases remain below a given amount (900EUR in any 24hr period/90kEUR per month - so perfect for DCA) they are not required to do the same KYC procedures as other crypto exchanges.

On the app, you can invest as little as 10 EUR (with transaction fees ranging from 1%-2.5%) with the ability to setup recurring daily and monthly purchases so you can set your DCA and stop watching charts.
Purchase and sell limits:

• The minimum purchase amount is €10 / 10 CHF
• Your first purchase cannot be higher than €100 / 100 CHF
• The minimum sell amount is 0.001 BTC
• The maximum sell and buy per day is €900 / 1000 CHF
• The maximum buy and sell per year is €90.000 / 100’000 CHF

Whilst Relai are a "bitcoin only" company there is nothing stopping you from immediately transferring your bitcoin to trade into whatever BSC-dogememecoin your degenerate little heart desires as the wallet is fully self custodial. You simply buy bitcoin and it is immediately transferred to your bip39 wallet, backup phrase and all.

I've been using relai for a little while now but not seen it mentioned in this sub before. They're not fucking around with NFTs, onboarding 21k memecoins and enabling thousands of additional chains, bridges, features or "reward" schemes.
