crypto market bitcoin ethereum prices

Key Insights:

  • Crypto market gains as Bitcoin CVD shows steady buying and a stronger buy wall near $63,000.
  • Whale inflow ratio turns negative, pointing to lower selling pressure and supporting crypto prices.
  • Ethereum breakout stays in focus after a new analysis sets a $6,941.60 Golden Ratio target.

The crypto market is trading higher after fresh buying returned to Bitcoin, whale selling pressure eased, and Ethereum extended its recent gains. Crypto prices also moved up, with the five biggest digital assets posting gains during the latest trading session, CoinMarketCap data showed.

Bitcoin Buying Gives The Crypto Market A Boost

The crypto market started the day on a stronger note as Bitcoin continued to attract buyers. Market analyst CW said the Bitcoin CVD indicator has remained on a buying trend since yesterday, showing that buyers are still leading the market.

Notably, the CVD indicator measures the difference between buying and selling activity. When it keeps moving higher, it usually means buyers are placing more aggressive orders than sellers. That has helped Bitcoin hold its recent gains instead of giving them back.

Crypto market participant CW also pointed to a stronger buy wall around the $63,000 level. A buy wall means there are many buy orders waiting at a certain price. If selling increases, those orders can help slow the decline by taking in the extra supply.

At the same time, the analyst said there are no large sell walls above the current crypto price. That means there are fewer heavy sell orders that could slow any further move higher. The positive mood was reflected across crypto prices. Bitcoin traded at $66,246.28, up 3.29% over the past 24 hours.

Ethereum climbed to $1,940.73, a gain of 4.20%. Tether stayed close to its dollar peg at $0.9993, while BNB rose to $579.12, up 2.41%. USDC also remained steady at $0.9999. The gains, as reported by CoinMarketCap, among the biggest coins helped push the wider crypto market into positive territory.

Whale Data Shows Lower Selling Pressure

Another reason traders are watching the crypto market closely is the latest whale data. Crypto Patel said the Momentum Whale Inflow Ratio has turned negative for the first time in 2026 after staying positive for the past five months.

The analyst said this change has often been followed by lower selling pressure. When large holders send fewer coins to exchanges, there may be fewer coins available for sale. That can help support prices if demand remains steady.

Crypto Patel described the latest reading as a bullish sign for Bitcoin in the short term. Whale data does not decide where the market will go next, but many traders pay attention to it because large holders can affect crypto price movement. When this signal is combined with steady buying in Bitcoin, it gives the market another positive sign to watch.

Ethereum Breakout Keeps Crypto Prices Higher

Ethereum is also helping support crypto prices. Market analyst Donald Dean said the Ethereum breakout is just getting started. He shared a chart with a Golden Ratio target of $6,941.60.

That target comes from technical analysis and shows the level the analyst is watching if the current move continues. It is not a guarantee that Ethereum will reach that price. Besides, the prediction is based on historical performance, and investors should consider that historical movements don’t guarantee future returns.

For now, Ethereum is already showing strength. The coin gained 4.20% over the last 24 hours, making it one of the better performers among the biggest cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin continues to show steady buying, whale data points to lower selling pressure, and Ethereum remains on an upward path. Those three factors explain why the crypto market is higher today. If buyers stay active and heavy selling remains limited, crypto prices could continue to hold their recent gains in the near term.
