4thTech 2021 Retrospective: Events, DEV, Partnerships, Stats …

The year 2021 was quite intensive for the 4thTech project, as it turns out, 2021 became the year of the project recognition. It is a year when 4thTech 2.0 was released, showing the solution’s real potential in production. It is also the year of the dChat birth (i.e. Solana on-chain messaging protocol) and the year of quite a few new partnerships. In 2021 4thTech attended several events, participated in the Solana Ignition Hackathon, showed a staggering development deployment track, deployed a rebranding and re-design campaign, released a new home page and much more. To best put it into perspective, let’s dissect the main events chronologically.

March 2021

In March, 4thTech successfully applied to Polkadot Decoded with “The Importance of Multi-Chain Deployment when dealing with Blockchain Applications” talk. It was a perfect project awareness event that included community voting, community marketing and built 4thTech recognition in the Polkadot ecosystem.

August 2021

In August 2021 DOF group started the production of the 4thTech Showcase & Tutorial Series. When fully released, the Video Series will simplify product usage and stimulate adoption. The upcoming series of videos is a visual conclusion of what 4thTech has achieved thus far: a fully operational web platform with all its services in a new light. The series was developed over the course of almost 3 months, with over 100 hours so far dedicated from script to video. We used elements from previous promotional videos as well, to continue telling the 4thTech Multiverse story, and focused on using an original soundtrack. A beautiful voice was added to better emphasize the platform’s key features. After thousands of files and autosaves involved, multiple animation software and techniques as well as countless brainstorms and revisions, the story got itself a new chapter: “What is 4thTech & How to use it?”.

2021 Stats

Awareness promotional activity is not measured only by events, but also by created content. In the year 2021, the 4thTech team and partners produced and created 22 project-related videos, wrote 23 Medium articles, and published 3 research papers. The year 2021 was also the year of the 4thTech wiki as it grew exponentially. Available publicly as a website or database developed collaboratively by a project team, the wiki project documentation library serves as a guide for developers and solutions users that are getting started with 4thTech. The last count resulted in over 15.000 words written on over 70 pages, while the wiki structure exceeds 100 chapters.

There were also other activities running to boost the project’s image and increase awareness such as; (1) Blockchain Recorded Podcast sponsorship, which produced 36,9K Twitter impressions of the @4thtechProject brand handle, reaching the communities of the podcast guests that would be otherwise unreachable; (2) CML partnership, include banners, community marketing and other promotional activities and brought 92,4K @4thtechProject Twitter handle impressions.

All 2021 promotional and development activities combined produced quite impressive recognition and promotion results. We used impressions as a common cross-channel constant. According to Twitter analytics for @4thtechProject, promotion and awareness activities produced 499,7K impressions during the year 2021 with a decent engagement overall percentage. According to Medium analytics, there were 25.398 article views, with 4,536 minutes read in the last 90 days of 2021. LinkedIn analytics shows under 10K impressions in the year 2021, while Facebook reached under 5K people. It is clear that Twitter holds the torch, so it is only logical that it gets the most attention. As the year 2021 was the year of recognition, we are working towards the year of adoption. With Solana FOURim & FOURdx MainNet deployments in Q1 2022, 2022 could be the year of adoption.
