Has anyone actually fallen a victim to DMs scam in this subreddit? How to protect against these attacks?

do not answer DMs
do not share information about your investment's amount only percentages
do not state you are new to crypto
do not share your account information or seed to anyone on the internet

Some of the most common things a newcomer will be advised the moment he sets foot here.
But has anyone actually fallen a victim to scammers that approached them here?
If so, how did it happen, how did they make you trust them and what would you advise other users to protect themselves against those scammers?
