MUXX - BIGIDIRIBELA

This collection of NFTs is created in collaboration by project MUXX (Oswaldo Erreve, EYIBRA, Lukas Avendaño, and NNUX), who have been commissioned by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to present their multimedia and performance piece in September 2022. The collection explores the concepts of non-binary gender, transhumanism, and the metaverse - taking inspiration from the 'Muxes', a third gender identity from the Zapotec indigenous nation of Oaxaca (Mexico), of which Lukas is a member. The soundscapes and music are created by EYIBRA and NNUX, evoking diverse landscapes, as well as exploring the limits of the voice and the possibilities of its transformation in the context of gender fluidity by using diverse filters and effects. MUXX are trying to raise additional funds for their elaborate performance piece and show in LA, to help cover production expenses, state- of- the-art set designs, and new technologies for video projection.
