Surprise is a generative collection of one-hundred pieces permanently exhibited in an immersive experience, Surprise Land. Each piece as been produced by an algorithm. The unique seed of each token drives a set of rules for cube subdivisions, animation and colors. Surprise is an emotion you can feel when you discover something unexpected. This feeling has stuck with me ever since I started writing algorithms that produce visuals based on randomness, and I love it.
