Gov. VS Tornado is a game of whack-a-mole the gov is destined to lose

The government prohibits all US residents to us Tornado Cash. Ok. Coinbase will help enforse it. Sure. No more Tornado for Americans.

What will stop the blockchain enthusiasts from creating a new money mixer? Torndao Cash seems like a great a name.

Months or years will pass before the gov. gathers enough data to legitimately recognize this new Torndao as "a threat to American people" and ban it too.

By then, more mixers will emerge.

In essence, this opposition is between a rapidly developing industry and a bunch of lazy bureaucrats.

Imagine if most of regular dexes incorporate the mixer functionality by default. Will the US government ban the internet?

Money mixers are a way to ensure privacy. As any tool, it can be abused by bad actors. It doesn't mean the right to privacy must be sacrificed.
