Instead, it gave us surveillance.

Eleven years ago we wrote the word “Bitcoin” on forums like it was a password to a new world. A world where we ourselves were our own economy.

There were no:

  • banking compliance officers
  • FATF manuals
  • KYC forms
  • chain-analysis corporations that didn’t even exist back then

We only had one word: freedom.

Today? Bitcoin has become a showroom for watchers.

Every transaction is a tattoo that never fades. Every path is a footprint in wet sand — and now it’s read by the same suits we used to spit on.

Chainalysis is not just a company. It’s the eyes of the system — and Bitcoin fed it the data.

Yes, Bitcoin gave us power.
But it didn’t give that power to us — it gave it to them.

We thought we were buying “digital gold”.

Turns out — we all chipped in for a digital scanner of human lives. Banking officers, compliance factories, FinCEN — they didn’t just arrive on the blockchain.

Bitcoin opened the door for them.

And now — the moment of truth.

We still believe in the idea of private P2P money, the idea that got cypherpunks labeled as extremists — then we must say it plainly:

Bitcoin is no longer the front line.

The front line is where privacy still exists.

ADAMANT-p, Firo, PIVX, Monero today — stands where Bitcoin stood in 2012.

Whether anyone likes it or not.

There is no:

  • coin trajectory that Chainalysis can map
  • spider-graph visualizations used to invade people’s lives

There is only the right to remain silent.

ADAMANT-p is not a trendy DeFi toy.
ADAMANT-p is not a party.
ADAMANT-p is a weapon of freedom.

Bitcoin was a weapon of freedom. Today it’s a trophy asset for institutions.

It’s time to call things by their names:

Bitcoin is the Adidas of banker clubs.
ADAMANT-p is the homemade gun in a garage.

And that’s the core of it.

Freedom is not pretty. Freedom is rough and dangerous.

Bitcoin promised us rough freedom — but sold us a beautiful showroom for surveillance.

If someone doesn’t like this — they can write to Chainalysis.

They already know where your wallet is.

Bitcoin promised us freedom. was originally published in ADAMANT on Medium, where people are continuing the conversation by highlighting and responding to this story.
