NEXUS, a next-generation blockchain technology, has announced a partnership with Verse 8, a platform that enables CROSS users to build games using text prompts.
According to a recent announcement, through the latest collaboration, users on CROSS can easily develop and publish their games, with game tokens and NFTs from Verse8 tradable on CROSSx.
“Through this collaboration, users on CROSS can easily build and publish their own games, with game tokens and NFTs from Verse8 tradable on CROSSx,” the protocol said.
CROSS Surges Over 41%
Following the partnership announcement, data from CoinGecko revealed that the Cross (CROSS) token has seen a remarkable increase. The asset surged to 41%, trading at $0.2021. In addition, the memecoin has a market capitalization of over $70.704 million.
Furthermore, the crypto asset has a 24-hour trading volume of approximately $54.639 million. This increase shows the growing confidence of investors in the coin. Despite the current drawbacks in the crypto market today, CROSS has shown a positive performance.
Meanwhile, the memecoin is tradable on centralized exchanges such as Bitget, Gate, KuCoin, Bybit, Binance, MEXC, and XT.COM. It can also be traded on decentralized exchanges such as PancakeSwap and Uniswap.
According to a user’s X post, the partnership alleviates the stress of writing code to build games. “Just think it, type it, create it with a prompt,” KingsleyT said. The user further added that the collaboration will unlock new waves of creative game developers.
With over 400,000 monthly active users (MAU) recently reached on CROSS PLAY, the partnership is poised to change the narrative of the gaming sector. It also has an engaging and supportive community. Prior to the latest development, writing code for gaming often required time, commitment, expertise, and support.
Bridging Traditional and Blockchain Gaming
CROSS is a layer-1 blockchain designed for gaming, aiming to address issues such as asset siloing and unsustainable tokenomics. Additionally, it is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), offering modular infrastructure for on-chain games, including SDKs, a DEX, a bridge, and a wallet.
Moreover, the CROSS protocol is developed by NEXUS and governed by the OpenGame Foundation, a Switzerland-based non-profit. The protocol enables users to prove they own digital items. Its built-in token is used for in-game purchases, creating a fair and open environment where both game makers and players benefit. This applies to both traditional and blockchain-based games.
The blockchain gaming pioneer also announced the completion of a $10 million private token sale. The gaming company is gaining attention for introducing an equal pricing model, ensuring all investors buy in at the same rate.
Strategic Partnerships Driving Growth
Unlike typical crypto projects that offer discounted private sale rates, CROSS Protocol distinguishes itself by maintaining uniform pricing for all contributors. This dedication to fairness and transparency reflects the project’s broader mission to build an inclusive and trustworthy ecosystem.
Over time, the protocol has gone into several partnerships. Last month, Nexus entered into a strategic custody agreement with KODA, Korea’s digital asset custodian. Through its affiliation with Hashed and KB Kookmin Bank, KODA introduces a framework of institutional-grade security protocols and anti-money laundering (AML) standards to the CROSS ecosystem. Notably, the alliance plays a critical role in enhancing platform resilience and operational trust as the project progresses in its development.
