br0ken

br0ken is a collection of 36 digital animations created by Strano in 2025 as a series of compositional, gestural and procedural experimentations. Each artwork is generated through a combination of coding, motion graphics, digital collage, and pixel painting, merging multiple processes into a single visual language. The project started as an experiment in creative research; pixelated glitches and textures were turned into digital paint brushes via a software created by the artist. Using this custom program, Strano then recorded a number of gestures and motions which became broad compositions for each artwork. The next creative steps involved animating, coloring, compositing and refining each animation, in a delicate balance between order and chaos. It perfectly embodies a desire to find inspiration and meaning within chaos; as a metaphor of everyday life and a means of pushing the practice forward.
