BECOMING SENTIENT : 2026

Becoming Sentient explores the fragile threshold between human intuition and machine logic. Mechanical form and fluid color exist in tension, suggesting a moment where emotion resists automation. Rather than presenting AI as complete or autonomous, the work focuses on becoming, "a state of uncertainty, vulnerability, and emergence shared by both the artist and the system used to create it". The humanoid figures reflect this convergence of biology and technology: a space where control is negotiated, authorship is shared, and identity begins to shift. In this sense, the work is not a depiction of artificial intelligence, but a reflection of a transition already underway, a quiet merging of art, technology, and human experience. The series exists within a moment of transition rather than arrival, suspended between structure and awareness, control and surrender. At its core, it is not about machines becoming human, rather humans navigating creativity in an age defined by algorithms.
