ElmonX Dagger, from the Tomb of Tutankhamun

The gold dagger was one of two ceremonial daggers found in the wrappings of Tutankhamun's mummy. Unlike the famous meteoritic iron dagger, this weapon features a hardened gold blade, an ornate hilt decorated with gold granulation, cloisonné inlays, coloured glass, and a rock crystal pommel, and a richly decorated gold sheath. Dating to around 1332–1323 BCE, it is regarded as a masterpiece of New Kingdom Egyptian craftsmanship and royal ceremonial art.
