Valley Of The Dolls: The Polaroids

The inception of the collection sprouted from a simple question: how do the dolls we relate to as kids correlate to the fixations and followings of our adult years? Did Malibu Barbie grow up to be Kylie? I don’t have authority to weigh in personally, but I question the idea of dolls and assimilation. With the factory of Hollywood in mind, I started thinking back at the replication of artist and celebrity driven trends over the decades and how it's transpired into the digital realm. The goal for this collection was to bring these questions to light, but moreover to highlight the fact that at the core of any strong following is a smart, beautiful woman, empowering others while forging businesses and amassing millions of fans who relate to her story.
