Bitwise’s SOL Buying Spree Nears A Major $1B Milestone

Less than ten months after launch, Bitwise’s Solana Staking ETF has pulled in $948 million in cumulative net inflows. The milestone is close enough that a single strong day could push it over.

How BSOL Got Here This Fast

BSOL launched on NYSE Arca on October 28, 2025, as the first U.S. ETP with 100% direct exposure to SOL, with a built-in staking strategy targeting roughly 7% gross annual yield. 

It opened with $69.5 million in first-day inflows and attracted $417 million in its debut week alone, placing it among the top 20 ETFs across all asset classes by net flows that week. 

Bitwise also waived its 0.20% fee entirely on the first $1 billion in assets for a three-month introductory period, making early entry effectively free. 

The fund now controls roughly 80% of all inflows into U.S. spot Solana ETFs, with competing funds from Fidelity and Grayscale collectively drawing just $315 million by comparison, according to Farside Investors data.

The Arkham Data Behind The Momentum

Arkham Intelligence on-chain data shows a steady stream of SOL moving into Bitwise’s BSOL wallet over the past three days. 

Fireblocks Custody transferred 95,887 SOL worth $9.57 million in a single transaction five hours before this article’s publication. 

Coinbase Prime routed 82,189 SOL worth $8.06 million two hours later. A major bank has also begun accepting BSOL as loan collateral. 

On August 24, BSOL recorded $108 million in trading volume, the highest single-day volume for any SOL ETF in history, Bitwise President Teddy Fusaro confirmed on X. Solana inflows across all spot ETFs hit a 2026 high of $33 million that same day.

What’s Riding On The On-Chain Rails

Techgaged reported that Bitwise explored tokenizing BSOL shares through a partnership with Superstate, which would allow BSOL shares to settle on-chain rather than through traditional brokerage rails. 

That ambition sits alongside a broader institutional buildout Techgaged tracked earlier this year, when CME Group announced Sui futures as part of a wave of regulated layer-1 staking products gaining traction with institutional allocators. 

BSOL’s trajectory has since outpaced most of those products by a wide margin.

The Last $52 Million Is The Most Watched

SOL trades at $96.42 as of the latest CoinGecko reading on August 26, 2026 (11:00 UTC), up 24.8% over the past seven days. 

Price climbed steadily from $75 on August 19 to a high above $101 on August 25 before pulling back slightly to consolidate near $96.

Watch BSOL’s daily inflow data on Farside over the next week. A single $52 million day would push cumulative inflows past $1 billion, the kind of round number that tends to generate its own headlines and attract a fresh wave of institutional attention.
