President Donald Trump’s investment accounts executed 1,152 transactions in July, including purchases of Coinbase (COIN) and Strategy (MSTR) shares, according to a periodic transaction report released by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics on September 22.
The filing offers a look at the portfolio’s exposure to crypto-linked companies as the administration oversees federal policy affecting financial markets and the cryptocurrency industry. Meanwhile, the White House says all investment decisions are handled independently by third-party managers.
The 37-page filing lists trading activity across Trump's holdings for July, averaging roughly 50 transactions per trading day. In the crypto sector, the account bought Coinbase Global Inc. Class A (COIN) shares on July 24 in a disclosed range of $1,001 to $15,000; the report does not itemize exact amounts.
Strategy Inc. Class A (MSTR) shares saw more activity. The Trump portfolio account sold Strategy Inc. stock worth $1,001 to $15,000 on July 8, repurchased shares in the same range on July 24, and added a larger position of $50,001 to $100,000 on July 27.
The portfolio also sold shares of Bitcoin mining companies CleanSpark Inc. (CLSK) and MARA Holdings Inc. (MARA) on July 29. Both transactions were reported in the $15,001-to-$50,000 range.
The trades do not establish whether Trump personally selected any of the companies or transactions. The disclosure reports the activity but does not provide the exact amounts for individual trades.
The transactions come as the administration faces scrutiny over potential conflicts of interest involving companies affected by federal policy.
White House press secretary Davis Ingle said third-party financial institutions manage the portfolio independently and that Trump and his family have no role in individual investment decisions.
Other named holdings in OGE filings have included federal contractors such as SpaceX and RTX, and the account has reported disposals of up to $25 million each in Microsoft and Amazon shares.
The White House maintains the account uses index-replicating model portfolios rather than discretionary, conviction-based picks.
The trades involve major crypto-linked companies that are affected by U.S. financial and regulatory policy, although the White House says independent third-party managers made the investment decisions, not Trump or his family.
