The Washington Post called the situation in Ukraine "the world's first crypto war." At the moment, the country has collected over $40 million in donations in cryptocurrency, with the NFT contributing more than $7 million to this total.

On March 2, the NFT of the Ukrainian flag was sold to a pool of donors for 2,250 ETH ($6.75 million). The work was auctioned by the Ukrainian DAO, which was co-founded on February 24 by a Pussy Riot participant from Russia, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova. The proceeds will be donated to the Come Back Alive fund.
