Solaxy Wallet Removed From Chrome Web Store for Second Time as Team Appeals Decision

Solaxy shared an update in an X post on August 3, 2026, saying that its browser wallet has been temporarily removed from the Chrome Web Store for the second time. The project said it is appealing the decision and working with the Chrome Web Store team to determine what caused the latest removal.

The team plans to implement any required changes once the root cause has been identified and promised to provide further updates as more information becomes available.

In its statement, Solaxy said user funds remain safe because the wallet is non-custodial and assets are secured by users' recovery phrases rather than the browser extension itself. The team also reminded users to back up their seed phrases offline and said it would share further updates as they become available.

This is not the first time the wallet has been removed from the Chrome Web Store. On March 31, Solaxy announced that the wallet had returned after what it described as weeks of appeals. At the time, the team said Google had removed the extension under a "SPAM" classification but did not publish Google's notice or explain which Chrome Web Store policy had triggered the enforcement action

According to Google's Chrome Web Store developer policies, the spam category can cover a range of policy violations beyond malicious software, including repetitive listings, misleading metadata, and other forms of spam and abuse. Google has not publicly commented on Solaxy's latest removal.

As of publication, the wallet's Chrome Web Store page remains unavailable.
