Jupiter Brings Gacha Trading Cards Into Its Mobile App

Jupiter, the major Solana-based DeFi trading platform, is integrating its trading-card product, Jupiter Gacha, directly into its mobile app, giving users a way to digitally open packs containing real graded collectible cards.

The integration means users can rip packs, manage cards and access buyback options without leaving Jupiter Mobile.

The cards available through Gacha include graded Pokémon and One Piece trading cards, which users can have shipped to them if they choose to keep their physical pulls.

Jupiter Gacha uses on-chain randomness to determine each pull, allowing users to verify the outcome independently, the company said. Each pull comes with an option to sell the card back immediately, giving users an alternative to having the physical card shipped to them.

The product combines digital pack opening with physical trading cards. Users open a pack through the app, see the card they have pulled and then decide whether to keep it or use the buyback option.

Unlike products based solely on digital collectibles, Gacha is built around physical graded trading cards. Users who keep their cards can have the physical collectibles shipped to them.

The integration also removes the need to access Gacha separately. Pack ripping, card management and buybacks are now available within Jupiter Mobile alongside the platform's other products and services.

The launch expands Jupiter Mobile beyond its financial products and into physical collectibles. Jupiter began with a focus on token swaps and has since added products including perpetuals and lending.

Jupiter said its mobile app has recorded more than 1.68 million downloads across iOS and Android and had 240,000 active users over the past 30 days. During the same period, the app processed $575 million in volume and generated $770,000 in fees, according to the company.

Thomas Stoffels, head of product at Jupiter Mobile, said the integration puts Gacha alongside the app's other offerings, allowing users to access the collectibles product without switching between separate apps or browser tabs.

Jupiter has expanded from its original swap product to include perpetuals, lending and other on-chain services. The addition of Gacha brings a physical-collectibles product into the same mobile interface.

Jupiter said the integration is part of its effort to bring more of its products into Jupiter Mobile.
