HederaCon Miami 2026

Over 100 industry leaders in digital assets across finance, technology, enterprise, government, and policy came together in Miami on May 4th to take part in HederaCon.

Topics ranged from tokenization moving into real-world adoption to stablecoins, payments, and hybrid network models becoming increasingly defined. Perspectives from DTCC, Google, the White House, Chainlink Labs, Citi, Coinbase, and many others helped shape the discussion.

A standout moment was the “Invisible Uniquity” keynote from Hedera Co-Founder, Mance Harmon and Hashgraph CEO, Eric Piscini, revisiting Hedera’s original vision of “shared worlds” and outlining the next phase of enterprise-ready infrastructure. The session also introduced three major developments from Hashgraph: CLPR, a bridgeless cross-ledger protocol; the general availability of HashSphere; and a strategic investment in ioBuilders.

Thank you to all the speakers, sponsors, partners, and attendees who made the day so impactful. All individual sessions are now live. Be sure to watch here.

Hello, CLPR (Cross-Ledger Protocol)

Hashgraph introduced CLPR (pronounced “clipper”), a a new bridgeless interoperability protocol designed to enable secure transfers of assets, data, and messages across public and private networks without custodians or traditional intermediaries.

Initially supporting interoperability between HashSphere and the Hedera public network, CLPR uses cryptographic state proofs to establish trust directly between ledgers, reducing reliance on third parties while improving security and liquidity flow across ecosystems.

CLPR is currently in closed beta, with Hashgraph inviting institutions to participate in its Early Adopter Program ahead of its public launch.

HashSphere GA & Hashgraph invests in ioBuilders

At HederaCon, Hashgraph also announced the general availability of HashSphere, private permissioned networks or ‘spheres’ powered by Hedera technology and designed for regulated markets. Built with interoperability at its core, HashSphere enables institutions to connect private networks with the Hedera public network and other ecosystems via CLPR and supports use cases such as tokenized assets, cross-border payments, and post-trade settlement.

The company also revealed a strategic investment in ioBuilders, the team behind Asseto, a multi-chain tokenization platform that enables institutions to issue and manage digital assets through the entire lifecycle. As part of this strategic investment, HashSphere and Hedera will both be integrated into Asseto and offered by the Hashgraph team starting in June 2026.

Project Acacia final report released

The Reserve Bank of Australia and the DFCRC published the final report for Project Acacia, exploring how tokenized assets, digital money, and new settlement infrastructure could improve the efficiency and resilience of wholesale financial markets.

As part of the project, Australian Payments Plus (AP+) deployed a hybrid architecture using the Hedera public network and the HashSphere private network to support real-money settlement use cases, including tokenized asset transactions and wholesale CBDC workflows. The model demonstrated how public and private networks can interoperate while maintaining regulatory controls and institutional-grade performance.

Bank of England DLT Innovation Challenge final report

The Bank of England and the BIS Innovation Hub London Centre published findings from their joint DLT Innovation Challenge, which Hedera contributed to as part of ongoing industry discussions around the future of wholesale settlement infrastructure.

Hedera provided insights on settlement finality and how consensus design impacts the speed, trust, and efficiency of institutional settlement systems. The report highlighted the value of permissioned validator models, efficient transaction propagation, and DAG-based architectures to improve network performance and deterministic finality.

Hedera on Capitol Hill for CLARITY Act

The Senate Banking Committee advanced the CLARITY Act, marking another important step toward establishing clearer regulatory frameworks for digital assets in the United States. Hedera Chief Policy Officer Nilmini Rubin attended the markup in support of continued bipartisan engagement on digital asset policy.

The legislation aims to establish clearer jurisdictional boundaries between the SEC and CFTC, while introducing more defined classifications and compliance expectations for digital assets and market participants.

Hedera Agent Kit V4 is live

Hedera released Version 4 of the Hedera Agent Kit, introducing a more modular JavaScript SDK that allows developers to install only the components they need when building AI-powered applications on Hedera.

The update also adds a new hooks and policy system, enabling developers to implement guardrails and deterministic controls for agent behavior, particularly around payments, permissions, and audit workflows.
