Welcome to our January Community Update! Last month marked a turning point for GamerHash — we closed one chapter and fully committed to the next. Mining is gone. AI is everything now. Let’s break it down!

The End of Mining — A New Beginning

On January 31st, 2026, GamerHash stopped mining forever. After 9 years and 800,000+ users, we made the call to go all-in on AI compute.

This wasn’t a retreat — it was recognition. Mining profitability had been shrinking for years as industrial operations took over. Meanwhile, AI demand for GPU compute exploded. The same hardware that used to hash blocks can now power AI inference, and the ceiling is much higher.

Your graphics card just got a second life. And this time, the world actually needs what your GPU can do.

LTX-2 — Video Generation Gets Real

Mid-January brought what might be the most impressive model drop yet. LTX-2 from Lightricks landed in GamerHash AI, and it’s kind of ridiculous.

This thing generates synchronized video AND audio from a single prompt. 19 billion parameters. Competes with Sora 2 and Veo 3. Runs locally on your hardware. Free. No limits.

A year ago, this level of video generation required enterprise cloud subscriptions and serious budgets. Now it runs on your gaming rig while you’re making coffee. The gap between consumer and cloud is closing fast.

Massive respect to Lightricks for open-sourcing this beast.

FLUX.2 Klein 4B — The Sleeper Feature

Late January brought FLUX.2 Klein 4B to the app. Yes, it does text-to-image. Yes, it handles image editing. But here’s the sleeper feature everyone’s sleeping on: upscaling.

Take a 256×256 image. Push it to 1536×1536 in seconds. No cloud. No waiting. Just your GPU doing work.

The model library keeps growing. More capabilities, more reasons to fire up your GPU — whether you’re creating content or contributing compute.

deAPI Hits 5,000 Users

Remember when we hit 1,000 developers in December? January brought us to 5,000.

Why should you care? Because every one of those developers is creating demand for GPU compute. And if you’re running the Earn Module in GamerHash AI, that demand flows directly to your hardware.

More developers building on deAPI = more work for your GPU = more rewards. The flywheel is spinning faster every month.

Earn Module Expansion

With mining gone, we’re doubling down on AI compute rewards. The Earn Module is now live for:

  • RTX 4090 — with 32GB system RAM
  • RTX 5090 — with 32GB system RAM
  • RTX 5080 — with 64GB system RAM

Coming soon: all RTX 5080 configurations and RTX 3090. As AI compute demand grows, we’re opening the network to more hardware.

The Flywheel Accelerates

January proved the model works:

  • 5,000 developers building on deAPI (5× growth in one month)
  • LTX-2 and FLUX.2 Klein 4B added to the app
  • Earn Module expanding to more GPUs
  • Full pivot to AI compute complete

More builders create more demand. More demand creates more earning opportunities. More earning opportunities attract more GPU providers. The cycle accelerates.

What’s Next

February is already shaping up to be big. We’re continuously adding new AI models, expanding Earn Module support to more GPUs, and watching the deAPI developer community grow.

Mining gave consumer GPUs a purpose beyond gaming. AI gives them a future.

January 31st wasn’t an ending. It was an upgrade.

Let’s build.

A word from the CEO

January was a defining month for GamerHash. We officially closed the mining chapter after 9 years and went all-in on AI compute — the results speak for themselves. Our deAPI developer base grew 5x to 5,000 users, we launched breakthrough models like LTX-2 and FLUX.2 Klein, and expanded the Earn Module to next-gen hardware. The flywheel is spinning… more developers, more demand, more reasons for GPU owners to be part of what we’re building. If this is how 2026 starts, imagine what the rest of the year will bring.
