Darknet market Apollon seems to be pulling an exit scam on its users as vendors are unable to get hold of their accounts. Apollon, one of the darknet’s largest markets, is allowing users to order from vendors, while vendors have been locked out of their accounts.

Darknet market Apollon

Reportedly, Apollon was created in 2018 as a market on the darknet and has and has been operating since. However, the market seems to have run into a problem these past few days as multiple vendors on the platform came forth to reveal that they have been locked out of their accounts. The issue does not seem to have originated from server issues as the platform still allows users to order from these vendors.

Many people that used the market came to Dark.Eye, a deep web platform where users rate websites, and dropped comments for others to view. Now Apollon’s rating is a bit above 1 starts and users are warning other people from accessing the market.

Are Mods responsible for the issue at Darknet market Apollon?

One user claimed that “mods” are stealing from the vendors and have locked their accounts while claiming that the account was “phished.” However, he added that they only used the “vendor URL and used 2FA” so that should not be possible. He then claimed that they were locked out of their accounts for calling out these mods.

Meanwhile, another vendor claimed that he has lost 11,000 dollars in crypto because of the exit scam. Such information is often shared between deep web users on Dread, a Reddit-style forum. However, the platform has been offline for some days due to an alleged Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack.
