Popular teen comedy Mean Girls is prepared for a web3 comeback upon filing trademarks. The trademarks are filed by Paramount Pictures with plans to take the brand ahead into crypto-collectibles.
As shared on Twitter by trademark attorney Mike Kondoudis, two applications have been filed by Paramount on September 7.

The filings claim plans to expand the #MEANGIRLS brand into:
NFTs + NFT-backed media
The filings applications cover downloadable multimedia files featuring artwork validated by NFTs and downloadable virtual goods along with NFTs and crypto-collectibles. Transferring as well as accessing NFTs, crypto-collectibles and application tokens are also covered in the application.
A day before, Viacom International, a mass media conglomerate, also filed two almost same trademark applications to outgrow the The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand in the virtual world.
