CryptoCities

One of the earliest playable NFT collections on Ethereum, designed in 2017 and launched in February 2018. CryptoCities turns every real-world city into a single, verifiable token - one of the first projects to do so, and one of the few from that era still actively evolving. Every city is a real place, verified by coordinates and ranked by size from small towns to major capitals. Only one NFT exists per city, with a permanent cap of 25,000. Originally an on-chain discovery game with city data stored directly on Ethereum, it was later wrapped to ERC-721 while preserving full provenance back to 2018.
