The BLOCK

The Block is a generative art project consisting of 4,096 cubes. Each cube begins with existing on-chain cc0 image data, transformed into a 2D image, then a 3D object, and eventually part of a much larger structure... the BLOCK. The system is the artwork. The BLOCK is composed of a single continuous line, drawn by a simple recursive algorithm. Just as the blockchain takes raw, flat transaction data and constructs itself, we build a new dimension with our digital identities. 8 points make a cube 8 cubes make a street 8 streets make a neighborhood 8 neighborhoods make a region 8 regions make the BLOCK. What happens to the people that reside there? It is up to us who will live there, and what it will look like. The city will come alive.
