What Is Dopex?
The word Dopex stands for "decentralized options exchange." Dopex is a decentralized protocol that allows users to earn passive income through option pools. It offers advantages to both options buyers and sellers by delivering a permissionless and composable options product and ensuring fair, optimized, and competitive option pricing and a simplified trading experience. Dopex Founders
The founder of the Dopex protocol goes by the pseudonym TzTokChad, and the lead developer of the project is Witherblock. Identities of the team members aren't revealed.
Dopex was launched through a public sale, which took place in June 2021. As a result of the Initial Coin Offering (ICO), DPX raised $7.5 million. At the time, the DPX price was $134.
DPX has a total supply of 500.000 tokens. 15% of this amount (75.000 tokens) was distributed during the public sale. The rest of the supply was allocated for operational goals (17%), liquidity mining (15%), platform rewards (30%), and distributed between founders (12%) and early investors (11%).

How Does Dopex Work?
Dopex was launched on Arbitrum, an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution that leverages Optimistic Rollup technology to process high-speed transactions and reduce fees for options purchasing.
Dopex currently offers only one product called Single Staking Option Vaults, which represents a simplified way to buy and sell options by providing deep liquidity for option buyers and automated, passive income for option sellers.
The protocol has two tokens; Dopex (DPX) and Dopex Rebate Token (rDPX).
DPX is a governance token, which allows token holders to vote on proposals. Also, users pay protocol fees via DPX.
rDPX is a rebate token for options writers. In case of losses, the Dopex protocol issues rDPX tokens based on the net value of losses and distributes them to option pool participants, thereby sharing risks of option writing between all liquidity providers.
In comparison to DPX, the supply of rDPX isn't capped.
rDPX also has other use cases which increase the value of the token. rDPX is used as collateral for borrowing funds for margin and other utility purposes.
Among Dopex’s advantages is that all options contracts are ERC-20 tokens, meaning they’re liquid, transferable, and composable. Anyone building in DeFi on Ethereum can use Dopex’s options and integrate them into their protocols.
