The crypto world was shaken when vigilant Reddit users first spotted a deepfake video on YouTube. This video featured a fabricated Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse. It promised XRP holders a dubious opportunity: send in your coins and receive double in return. This classic scam tactic used advanced AI-generated imagery. Redditors first reported it between November 25 and December 3.

Google’s Controversial Stance
