SUI Network Founder Returns After Six Months Away Helping Relative Fight Cancer

Evan Cheng, the founder of the Sui Network Foundation, has officially announced his return to work after stepping away for nearly six months to address a deeply personal challenge.  

Cheng revealed that a close family member had been diagnosed with cancer half a year ago. Faced with the devastating news, he and his medical team dedicated themselves fully to medical research in an effort to change the course of the illness.

“For the last 5 1/2 months, I was a full time medical researcher. My medical team and I have designed a treatment plan that’s much more scientifically sound than the standard of care,” the Sui founder said.

As part of the research efforts, he further added that they are developing new combinations of therapies and new drugs. The research in the illness has further yielded positive and favorable results beyond what was “supposedly possible.” 

Optimism Amid the Battle 

While acknowledging that the fight against the disease is far from over, the message carried a strong tone of optimism. The progress achieved so far has given the family confidence and renewed determination.

“We still have a long journey ahead. But the plan is in place and I’m more confident than ever we will beat this nasty disease,” Cheng continued. 

With the medical plan set in motion, the crypto executive expressed excitement about returning to his other great passion. That is, advancing the movement toward decentralized trust. The declaration “It’s good to be back” resonated strongly within the blockchain community, which had closely followed the absence.
