BlackRock Leads the Biggest Bitcoin ETF Inflow Surge of the Week

BlackRock just led the biggest Bitcoin ETF inflow surge of the week. US spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in a combined $730.8 million on September 3, 2026, the strongest single day across the past three weeks, according to Farside Investors’ ETF flow tracker. IBIT alone accounted for $454 million of that total.

How the Rest of the Funds Performed

Fidelity’s FBTC added $74.4 million. ARK’s ARKB brought in $137.7 million, its strongest day in weeks.

Bitwise’s BITB contributed $24.8 million. Grayscale’s mini BTC fund added $48.8 million.

Not every fund joined the rally. VanEck’s HODL saw $19.6 million in outflows, and MSTR-linked MSBT lost $5.2 million.

The overall total still came in well above every other session logged over the prior two and a half weeks.

A Sharp Reversal From Recent Weeks

This session stands out against the month that came before it. August 28 through September 1 saw four straight sessions of outflows, including a $236.5 million single-day drop on September 1.

Techgaged tracked an earlier stretch of this same weakness back in May, when spot Bitcoin ETFs logged their darkest week yet, with $1.72 billion leaving the funds in a single stretch.

September 3’s inflow reverses that pattern almost entirely in one session.

Bitcoin’s Price Backs Up the Shift

Bitcoin traded at $80,853.90 as of September 4, 2026, up 1.5% over seven days (08:00 UTC). The chart shows exactly where this inflow landed.

Price sat between $77,000 and $79,000 through most of late August and early September, dipping toward $77,000 around September 2.

It then broke sharply higher, climbing past $81,000 by September 3 and briefly touching $82,000 before settling near $80.85K.

The ETF inflow and the price breakout happened on the same day, not one lagging the other by much.

Why This Reversal Matters

Techgaged also flagged the earlier support test this rally climbed out of, tracking how Bitcoin cracked below $70,000 in early June as ETF outflows and weak realized-profit data piled up at the time.

A single strong inflow day doesn’t undo weeks of outflows on its own, but it does suggest institutional buyers stepped back in right as price confirmed the breakout, rather than chasing it after the fact.

Whether September 3 marks the start of a new inflow streak or a one-day standout will likely become clear within the next few sessions.
