Theta Edgecloud and Olympique De Marseille FC Officially Partner to Launch AI and Enterprise Validator Initiatives

Theta EdgeCloud is now an Official Partner of Olympique de Marseille football club, and in turn the club has joined Theta’s enterprise validator program. This strategic partnership is part of the club’s ambition to accelerate its digital, AI & blockchain transformation and explore new technological innovations to enhance performance, fan engagement, and data security.

As part of this initiative, Olympique de Marseille has launched an AI-powered smart mascot, powered by Theta EdgeCloud’s decentralized GPU infrastructure, that will serve as an intelligent fan assistant, answering supporter questions about match lineups, ticket information, team statistics, venue directions, and club news through natural language conversations. The system will be integrated into the club’s official website and mobile app and represents the first AI-driven fan interaction platform in Ligue 1 McDonald’s.

The AI-powered smart mascot has been specifically trained on Olympique de Marseille and Ligue 1 McDonald’s data to handle fan inquiries across multiple categories. Supporters can ask questions such as “What’s the starting lineup for tonight’s match?” or “How do I get to Orange Vélodrome?” and receive instant, current, and accurate responses.

The system draws from comprehensive databases including Ligue 1 McDonald’s statistics, club-specific information, and real-time match data using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) technology. This approach ensures responses are both relevant and up-to-date.

The smart mascot will offer several integrated services:
