Three crypto ETF news categories woke up green on the same day, and one name shows up at the top of every list. That's the story out of the US spot fund market on August 24, 2026, and it's worth breaking down properly.

Three Key Takeaways

  • Spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $337.56 million on August 24, taking cumulative net inflow to $54.04 billion, with BlackRock's IBIT alone bringing in $208.93 million.

  • Spot Ethereum ETFs added $115.57 million for the day, with BlackRock's ETHA responsible for $90.92 million of that total.

  • Spot XRP ETFs saw a smaller but still positive $13.82 million in daily inflow, led by Bitwise at $8.25 million.

Bitcoin ETF News: BlackRock and Fidelity Do the Heavy Lifting

Out of 12 Bitcoin ETF issuers tracked, six recorded inflows on August 24. BlackRock's IBIT led with $208.93 million, and Fidelity's FBTC followed with $104.57 million. Behind them:

  • Grayscale (BTC): $16.36 million

  • VanEck (HODL): $3.34 million

  • Bitwise (BITB): $3.00 million

  • Morgan Stanley (MSBT): $1.36 million

That daily total of $337.56 million pushed cumulative net inflow for spot Bitcoin Exchange Traded Funds to $54.04 billion. Total value traded on the day came in at $5.36 billion, and total net assets across all Bitcoin ETFs now sit at $98.56 billion, which works out to 6.22% of Bitcoin's entire market cap.

Bitcoin itself was trading at $80,753.05 at the time this data was recorded, up more than 5% intraday, with a market cap of $1.621 trillion, according to CoinGecko.

There's a company-specific angle feeding into this too. According to on-chain data shared by Lookonchain on X, Michael Saylor's Strategy moved from a loss of more than $9.5 billion to a profit of more than $4.7 billion in just one week. That swing appears to be feeding investor confidence in Bitcoin more broadly, though it's a single data point and not a guarantee of where sentiment goes next.

Ethereum ETF News: A Familiar Name Leads Again

Spot Ethereum Exchange Traded Funds added $115.57 million on August 24. Out of 11 issuers, five posted inflows:

  • BlackRock: $90.92 million

  • Grayscale: $12.50 million

  • Fidelity: $6.76 million

  • VanEck: $4.51 million

  • Bitwise: $883.04 thousand

Cumulative net inflow for Ethereum now stands at $12.27 billion, on total value traded of $1.64 billion for the day. Total net assets are $14.74 billion, or 4.93% of Ethereum's market cap.

Ethereum was trading at $2,503.93 at data capture, up over 2.2% intraday, with a market cap of $302.277 billion.

One trader story stands out here. Lookonchain data shows an account belonging to a trader known as Machi was liquidated down to less than $60,000 at one point. That account has since grown close to 200 times over, and the trader opened $113 million in combined BTC and ETH long positions. Traders on X have pointed to this as one factor behind the renewed interest in Ethereum, alongside the broader inflow picture.

XRP ETF News: Smaller Inflows, No Clear Catalyst

Spot XRP ETFs added $13.82 million on August 24. Three of five tracked issuers recorded inflows:

  • Bitwise: $8.25 million

  • Franklin: $4.01 million

  • Canary Capital: $1.57 million

Cumulative net inflow for XRP ETFs is now $1.57 billion, with $107.92 million in total value traded on the day. Total net assets sit at $1.44 billion, or 1.55% of XRP's market cap.

XRP ETF News today

Source: SoSoValue Details

XRP price today was $1.51, up over 2.4% intraday, with a market cap of $94.499 billion.

Unlike Bitcoin and Ethereum, there's no single reported catalyst tied to XRP's price move or its inflows on this date. That gap is worth flagging on its own: XRP moved higher without the kind of company-specific or trader-specific story that showed up for Bitcoin and Ethereum.

What Next for Crypto ETF Inflows?

Three straight categories of green inflows in one day is a signal, not a certainty. Bitcoin's move had a visible driver in Strategy's swing back to profit; Ethereum's had a visible driver in large leveraged positioning from an individual trader; XRP's didn't have either, and that's worth watching. If inflows into XRP ETFs stay positive without a clear catalyst, it may point to broader market appetite rather than a single-name story.
