IOST is happy to announce that Hong Kong WEB3HUB has officially become a strategic partner in the ecosystem. In response to policy statements, IOST and HK WEB3HUB will deepen the support for the development of emerging industries in Hong Kong. We aim to attract global Web3 companies to establish in Hong Kong and facilitate exchange and cooperation opportunities for Web3 companies entering the region.

WEB3HUB: Building a Global Hub for the Web3 Industry

Established by G-Rocket International Accelerator in collaboration with Hong Kong Cyberport, WEB3HUB aims to support the development of emerging industries in Hong Kong and actively attract international Web3 companies to establish a presence in the local market. Through its comprehensive platform, WEB3HUB offers communication and cooperation opportunities for international Web3 companies while providing an advanced environment, comprehensive support, and convenient measures to assist new Web3 companies.

Since its establishment, WEB3HUB has received inquiries from over 300 Web3 companies seeking support strategies and implementation guidelines. Moreover, WEB3HUB plans to serve over a thousand innovative Web3 companies worldwide in the next three years.

WEB3HUB’s Web3 Acceleration and Investment in All-chain System

WEB3HUB launched the “WEB3 Cloud Acceleration Program” with Tencent Cloud to support Web3 enterprises launching in Hong Kong. Upon approval by an expert committee, companies can receive up to $100,000 USD in “cloud investment.” In addition, WEB3HUB also actively promotes the growth of the Web3 community, technology applications, and industrial development in Hong Kong. The organization hosts various community events, including large-scale summits and online public forums.

WEB3HUB Global Acceleration Program and Ecosystem Fund Officially Launched

Recently, the launching ceremony of the WEB3HUB Global Acceleration Program and Ecosystem Fund took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The event saw the participation of several government and parliamentary representatives, including:

• Mr. Zhang Guojun, Deputy Secretary of the Justice Department in Hong Kong,
• Mr. Zhang Guolai, the second-level inspector of the Youth Work Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong,
• Dr. Wu Jiezhuang, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and a member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council.

Director Zhang Guojun stated:

“G-Rocket International Accelerator established WEB3HUB earlier this year, responding to the “Policy Declaration on the Development of Virtual Assets in Hong Kong” issued by the SAR government in October last year. WEB3HUB aims to provide local and international Web3 Enterprises with advanced facilities and all-around support to promote Hong Kong to become a world-leading Web3 hub. Hong Kong should better leverage the unique advantages of “One country, Two systems” to drive Hong Kong’s high-quality development with technological innovation and, at the same time, attract talents, funds, and other resources from home and abroad to create mutually better development.”

Dr. Wu Jiezhuang expressed:

“The launch of the WEB3HUB Global Acceleration Program and the Ecosystem Fund confirms the success of the government in promoting the Web3 industry and also allows the Web3 industry to promote Hong Kong to become the global center of Web3 through professional training and market-oriented investment operation.”

“Since the establishment of WEB3HUB, over 350 companies have registered and established operations in Hong Kong within two months, creating an anticipated 1,000 jobs for Hong Kong. Additionally, the $10 million Acceleration Program will accept global applications to support competitive companies in establishing a presence in Hong Kong. Approved projects will receive $10,000 in financial incentives and a three-month acceleration program. Moreover, the WEB3HUB ecosystem fund, totaling $100 million USD, has officially launched to invest in global Web3.0 companies and promote industry development through capital investment.”

IOST: Web3 Blockchain Operating System

Since its establishment in 2017, IOST has been deeply immersed in blockchain, utilizing the V8 JavaScript engine, identical to Google Chrome, as the core for executing smart contracts. Building upon this foundation, IOST has made significant blockchain-specific enhancements, ensuring performance, correctness, and security within the mainnet.
