The success of Mugshot – which recently hit over 1 million active users, collectively committed 6.9 million tokenized sustainable actions to blockchain, and led a 255,354 kg reduction in carbon footprint — is testament to the power of VeBetter’s incentivized approach to advancing sustainability.

We invite builders to build on this momentum and help further expand the VeBetter ecosystem or tools that further scale our utility and impact. Whether you’re developing the next million-user super app or building vital ecosystem infrastructure, the updated VeBetter Grants Program is your pathway to bringing visionary ideas to life.

New Powerful Grant Tracks

The VeBetter Grants Program offers two distinct funding tracks:

X-to-Earn Grant

• For: Sustainability-focused X-to-Earn dApps with measurable impact
• Requirements: Working demo, MVP, or prototype Launch on VeBetter as a deliverable Clear path to business model
• Preferred: Existing user base
• Funding: Up to $30,000 in B3TR tokens
• Impact: Rewarding sustainable actions and growing the ecosystem
• Example: “Recycle-to-Earn” app rewarding recycling activity

Ecosystem Infrastructure Grant

• For: Protocol devs, tool builders, or infrastructure teams
• Requirements: MVP or prototype Must support VeBetter ecosystem Clear implementation roadmap
• Preferred: Prior delivery experience on VeChain or similar L1s
• Funding: Up to $50,000 in B3TR tokens
• Impact: Enhanced tools and robust dev environment

Your Path to Funding and Support

Grant recipients retain 100% ownership of their vision while receiving milestone-based funding to bring innovative concepts and applications to life. Beyond financial resources, we provide technical guidance from blockchain experts, collaboration opportunities with fellow builders, and marketing amplification through VeChain Foundation channels.

Projects that address VeBetter’s needs and align with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals will be prioritized, especially those serving the general population (aka, Web2-ready). Projects enhancing infrastructure, tooling, security, or scalability are also strongly encouraged.

With a more streamlined process in place, all proposals will benefit from a transparent community validation process — a defining feature of our enhanced grants system. This dual-approval mechanism, where community members vote alongside the VeChain Foundation, ensures funded projects truly reflect collective priorities and user needs.

When reviewing applications, we evaluate technical feasibility, ecosystem value, innovation, team expertise, and long-term sustainability. Our goal is to support projects that are not only initially well-conceived but also capable of making a lasting impact.

Application Process

1. Submit your application via the VeBetter Grants webpage

2. Initial review by our team (additional details may be requested)

3. Promising projects advance to follow-up discussions

4. Receive a tailored grant offer with milestone terms

5. Community voting on your proposal

6. Initial funding disbursement upon approval

Most applications will be processed within four weeks, with funding distributed as agreed-upon milestones are met and approved.

Example Grant Milestones

• Integration: Successfully integrating your project within the VeBetter ecosystem, including implementing B3TR as a reward mechanism, ensuring VeWorld wallet compatibility, and demonstrating a smooth user experience.
• User growth: Achieving measurable adoption metrics such as active wallet count, transaction volume, or daily active users, while implementing features that drive new user acquisition.
• Commercial sustainability: Developing monetization features, revenue streams, or business model enhancements that ensure your project’s long-term viability beyond the grant period.
• Technical infrastructure: Delivering development tools such as SDKs and APIs, comprehensive documentation, security audits, and other infrastructure components that strengthen the VeBetter ecosystem.
