GM NFT System Upgrade: Community-Approved Changes Now Live!

Last month, we announced our plan to implement the changes approved in the “Restoring the GM NFT System” proposal submitted by Datab4Dishonor. We’re excited to share that as of today, all community-approved changes have been implemented and are active across the GM NFT system.

We’re grateful for your patience during this implementation period. The adjusted timeline allowed our team to integrate these system enhancements while upholding the strict security and quality standards you expect from VeBetterDAO.

Breakdown of Active Changes

As outlined in the approved proposal, the following modifications are now in effect:

• Treasury reallocation: Weekly Treasury allocations have been reduced from 20% to 15%. This 5% of weekly B3TR emissions is now allocated to a new GM Rewards Pool.
• Direct rewards: GM NFT holders (Moon tier and above) who vote on at least one proposal during the cycle receive a proportional share of the GM Rewards Pool, based on the GM NFT level and the number of proposals voted on during each cycle.
• Half-price upgrades: All GM NFT upgrade costs have been reduced by 50%, making it easier than ever to progress through the tiers. Any B3TR already donated before the change is automatically applied to your next level.
• Vote2Earn adjustment: GM NFTs no longer provide multipliers for Vote2Earn rewards. Vote2Earn rewards are now calculated solely based on VOT3 balances.
• Node holder benefits preserved: VeChain node holders continue to enjoy the privilege of claiming free GM NFTs up to specific levels based on their node tier. However, to receive rewards from the new GM Rewards Pool, all node holders must actively vote on proposals during each cycle.

As promised, these changes have been retroactively applied to users who had already donated B3TR to upgrade their GM NFTs. The difference in B3TR has been automatically credited toward your following tier upgrade costs.

Upcoming Tier Releases

With these improvements now successfully integrated, we’re pleased to confirm that the Jupiter tier will launch in May as scheduled, followed by the rest of our cosmic roadmap:

• Jupiter: May — 125,000 B3TR donation | Free for Mjolnir & ThunderX nodes
• Saturn: June — 250,000 B3TR donation | Free for MjolnirX nodes only
• Uranus: August — 1,250,000 B3TR donation | No free node upgrades
• Neptune: October — 2,500,000 B3TR donation | No free node upgrades
• Galaxy: December — 12,500,000 B3TR donation | No free node upgrades

1. Vote every cycle to earn from both Vote2Earn and the new GM Rewards Pool. Higher VOT3 balances receive more Vote2Earn rewards, while rewards from the GM Rewards Pool increase proportional to your GM NFT tier and voting activity.
2. Claim your free GM NFT if you’re a node holder (and remember to vote to activate rewards)
3. Consider upgrading to a higher GM level now that costs are 50% lower
